The Mural Cafe was erected in 1937 with the murals painted in the late twentieth century. One mural depicts a Picnic Race Day (Mendooran Cup), the other harvesting timber in the regions forests. Neither has the artist's name however the latter was officially unveiled in 2002.
The Cafe & the supermarket have unfortunately closed. It is not often that you could use your 2 way radio to order a coffee or the groceries (UHF39).
