"IACUZZO Alice M. Iacuzzo, 79, beloved wife of the late Amilio Iacuzzo, formerly of Jacksonville, FL, passed peacefully at Mayo Clinic with her three children by her side on October 28, 2009. Alice was born in Brooklyn, NY and met her husband 'Sonny' whom she married on October 1, 1950. Following a career as a military wife Alice retired to Atlantic Beach, FL with her husband 'Sonny'. After his death in 1982, Alice relocated to Cocoa Beach, FL, where she devoted her time volunteering in an organization dedicated to the preservation of antique warbirds, a passion that her husband also enjoyed. Her favorite activity was traveling with her children's families and entertaining relatives and friends at her beach front home. The last of six sisters (Millicent Mitchko, Mary Fenno, Dora Lubeck, Veronica Esposito, and Florence Mahon), she is survived by her three children: Kathleen A. Carr of Hanahan SC, Colleen Newbegin Iacuzzo of Jacksonville, FL, Christopher P. Iacuzzo of Lake Mary, FL, four grandchildren: Christopher, Sonny, Alyssa, and Anthony, two great grandchildren; Dominic and Ashton, many nieces and nephews, all of whom were unconditionally loved, and a special friend, Peter Lenie, of Melbourne, Beach FL. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 30, 2009 at H. Warren Smith Cemetery in Jacksonville Beach, FL."

Amilio Iacuzzo was a member of the "42nd Airborne Missile Maintenance Squadron" (visit link) . According to his footstone, he served as follows: "WWII Korea Vietnam MSGT US Air Force US Navy."
