This overlook features two interpretive historic signs that deal with early Colorado history (exploring how early humans hunted the ice age animals to extinction!), the influx of European settlers on the native Indians, the growth of communities, the various mountain peaks of the front range, watershed of the front range and the growth of Sandstone Ranch homesteaded by the Coffin family.

Parking is nearby at N40° 09.248, W105° 02.259. There is also a public bathroom (open seasonally).
