"ARCHIBALD - Funeral Services for Thomas Afton Archibald, 100, will be held Thursday, January 20, 2000 at 2:00 PM at the Jacksonville Beach Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday-Saints, 440 Penman Road, Neptune Beach with Bishop Bret Smith, officiating. Burial will follow at H. Warren Smith Cemetery, Jacksonville Beach. Mr. Archibald, a native of Rexburg, Idaho and resident of Jacksonville Beach died Sunday, January 16, 2000 in a Jacksonville Beach nursing home. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daySaints serving as a missionary in the North Central States Mission, North Northern States Mission and Southern States Mission. Predeceased by his first wife, Mary Leona Williams Archibald, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Wilson Willis Archibald of Jacksonville Beach; two sons, Larry Williams Archibald of West Valley City UT and Thomas Noel Archibald of West Jordan UT; three daughters, Priscilla (Paul) Willis Cates of Port Wentworth GA, Peggy (Clifford, Sr.) Willis Finley of Richmond Hills GA, and Bertha (Judson) Willis Johnson of Ashville NC; two sisters, Lola Archibald Bodily of Idaho Falls ID and Merle Archibald Lukes of Sugar City ID; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM."
