USGS '104 GWM' BM - Siskiyou County, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this U.S. Geological Survey benchmark from 1949 in good condition. It is a brass disk monumented on top of a square concrete post projecting about 3 inches above the surface and about 20 east of the centerline of Willow Creek and Red Rock Rd and about 5 feet west of a fenceline. This station is listed on a topography map as 'BM 4157'. The disk contains the elevation stamping of '4156' and the designation stamping of '105 GWM' and '1949'. This disk does not exist in the NGS database. My posted coordinates shall place you very close to this mark.
