I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1954 in good condition. This disk is also listed on a topography map as 'BM 4092'. The NGS datasheet info is adequate for station recovery with the exception that the wood building and mine entrance mentioned in the datasheet are no longer there. My more accurate coordinates will place you very close to this mark.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1954 12.8 MI SE FROM DORRIS. 9.7 MILES SOUTHEAST ALONG A GRADED ROAD FROM THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY RAILROAD STATION AT DORRIS, THENCE 3.1 MILES EAST ALONG A GRADED ROAD, 0.2 MILE SOUTHEAST OF THE ENTRANCE TO A MINE AND A SMALL WOOD BUILDING ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROAD, ON THE INSIDE OF A SLIGHT CURVE, AT THE NORTHEAST BASE OF A ROCKY POINT, IN THE TOP OF A 4- BY 2-FOOT OUTCROP PROJECTING 1 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND, 23 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE ROAD, 5.2 FEET SOUTHWEST OF A FENCE, 1.0 FOOT SOUTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF THE OUTCROP, AND ABOUT 3 FEET HIGHER THAN THE ROAD.
