The church was build about the year 1100. In year 1158 mentioned by Friedrich I as parochial church. At the end of 14th century the tower was build.
In years 1525-28 it was converted to evangelic under the influence of Reformation. In 1558 the Dekanat Baiersdorf was founded.
1669-79 big renovation.
