I recovered this California Department of Transportation control monument in good condition. It is a brass disk monumented flush with the surface on a sidewalk at the NE corner of Main Street and Roop Street, about 2 feet north of the edge of the curb and about 10 feet west of a sign post. The disk contains the designation stamping of 'CM 24.60' and does not show up in the NGS database. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this mark.
