The current Webster County Courthouse constructed beginning 1939 and completed in 1941, is the third courthouse for the county. Was built as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project based on plans by Springfield architect Earl Hawkins. The two-story courthouse with a raised basement was constructed of Carthage marble with Art Deco elements. The courthouse has a jail on a top floor. It continues to serve as the county's courthouse and appears to be in very good condition.
