At the entrance to a small park to the east of Rogers State University is a short native stone wall on which is mounted a bronze plaque, placed in 1940. It reads:
Veterans of Foreign Wars
and
Auxiliary
State of Oklahoma
Dedicated This Playground
Equipment to the Children
of the World
May 26, 1940 - Founded 1899
The equipment is the current fiberglass style equipment, and apparently, the original equipment has been replaced and updated over the years.
