New Brunswick highway web cameras are operated by the New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. The cameras are part of the Department’s Road Weather Information System. Most are mounted on tall steel towers, pretty much all of which have weather sensors included on the tower. The sensors measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and wind direction and speed. The province has right around 50 web cameras, covering all the major routes in the province.
The webcam pic below is more or less real time and will update every 15 to 30 minutes, depending on conditions.
On the north side of Highway 11, this camera stands about 100 metres east of the Highway 430 Overpass at the Nepisiguit River. It looks east toward the bridge. Here, we are at the southeast corner of the city of Bathurst, which is in Bathurst Harbour on the Atlantic coast.
