Constable Nick Rowan gives up his patch in London to go North with his GP wife to the village of Aidensfield. In charge of Rowan is Sergeant Blaketon of Ashfordly police station. Also assisting Sgt Blaketon are PCs Ventress and Bellamy. The biggest villain on Rowan’s new patch is Claude Greengrass, a small time wheeler dealer.
