Sundial, built in 1752, bears Latin inscription Claret in orbe dies, ac taetras, hora pete umbras (ENG: Day, shine over the World and scare off foul shadows / CZ: Jasný bud po svete den a hnusné zaplašuj stíny).

Great Pálffy Garden, one of six Baroque southern-oriented terrace gardens bellow Prague Castle, belongs among jewels of Baroque garden architecture and also among the most beautiful tourist sites in Czech capital. This Baroque garden of Italian type was built in 1752.
