En faisant une sortie de waymarking, j'ai découvert ce très bel endroit que je n'ai pas reconnu tout de suite. J'ai stationné pas loin cherchant un bon point de vue pour le pont suspendu juste à côté. J'ai bien vu qu'il y avait un grand bac de gravier blanc et qu'il y en avait d'autres tout autour. C'est en m'approchant d'un des autres bacs aux bordures courbées que j'ai reconnu une fleur de lys. Et qu'ensuite j'ai reconnu les autres et que j'ai su de quoi il s'agissait. J'avais bien hâte de voir cet endroit sur google maps.
Wow!!! Quel beau drapeau du Québec, le fleurdelisé. Les bordures sont en béton et le blanc est fait de gravier blanc. Ce qui devrait normalement être bleu est fait de gazon et est donc vert mais c'est une superbe réalisation.
En recherchant sur internet, j'ai trouvé un article de l'INFOSuroit du 23 juin 2010 où il est dit que le fleurdelisé de Beauharnois est immense, existe depuis 25 ans et a complètement été restauré il y a trois ans. Bonne Fête nationale à tous!

While going out to visit some waymarks, I discovered this beautiful place that I did not recognize right away. I parked not far, seeking a good perspective for the suspension bridge just next door. I noticed that there was a large area with white gravel and that there were others around. It is as I approached one of the smallers shapes with curved edges that I recognized a lily. And then I recognized the others and I knew what it was. I really looked forward to seeing this place on Google maps.
Wow !!! What a beautiful flag of Québec, un fleurdelisé. Borders are concrete and white is made of white gravel. What should normally be blue is made of green grass but this is nevertheless a superb ensemble.
Researching the internet, I found an article of INFOSuroit of 23 June 2010 which stated that the Beauharnois fleurdelisé is huge, has existed for 25 years and has been completely renovated three years ago. Happy National Day to all!
