This benchmark is an unnumbered disk embedded in a concrete post, located in the vicinity of "B 1009" -- an NGS benchmark which hasn't been recovered since 1978.

Per the markings around the disk, this particular unnumbered benchmark was placed by the Texas State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. It was found by accident while attempting to recover "B 1009" an NGS Benchmark (PID AW1874) which is presumably in the same general vicinity but has yet to be recovered since 1978.

The disk is located near the intersection of Barker-Cypress Rd and US Hwy 290, 33ft east of the eastern turnabout road of Barker Cypress and ~100ft southwest of the center of the old "Southern Pacific" railroad tracks. Akin to "B 1009", this disk is 0.7ft west of a fenceline and -- given the quite similar NGS "reach to" description for "B 1009" -- easy to be confused with that particular NGS benchmark.
