Out in the country away from the madding crowd, this church is not a long way into the US.

This is just one of the seemingly ubiquitous stone and/or concrete tablets bearing the Ten Commandments (Exodus XX) that have been placed at or near churches in recent years. This one appears to be a tablet of polished concrete placed on a narrow concrete base. It is off to the side, south of the front entrance to the church.

The church itself is on the west side of Highway 1 in Boundary County, about 10.7 miles south of the border and 15 miles north of the Kootenay River at Bonners Ferry. The church is non denominational and is likely attended primarily by farmers, judging from the surrounding countryside.
