In 1992, the artist Ottmar Hörl (* 1950) created a series of 7 sculptures entitled "Familientreffen" ("family reunion") in the urban area of Rüsselsheim. This "Hörl-family" - the red painted - stands in front of the city hall of Rüsselsheim.
Hörl designed a multiple silhouette of contemporary uniform family, developed from templates for architectural drawings, which reflects in its materiality (painted steel), seriality (industrial production) and colour variance (multicultural workforce) precisely the economic and socio-cultural situation of the automotive city.
These installations brought some enemies to eliminate them in a short time professionally with the cutting torch. So they increased unwillingly Hörl's popularity.
