Initialement connu sous le nom de Pont Victoria, puis sous le nom Victoria Jubilee Bridge et finalement ;a nouveau sous le nom Pont Victoria depuis 1978, est un pont sur le fleuve Saint-Laurent, reliant Montréal, à la ville de Saint-Lambert sur la rive sud.
Ouvert en 1859 comme pont ferroviaire, à l'origine comme un pont tubulaire conçu par Robert Stephenson, le pont a été le premier à enjamber le fleuve Saint-Laurent, et en tant que tel est un pont d'une grande importance historique pour le Canada.
Au cours des années 1870, les locomotives à charbon vinrent remplacer progressivement celles qui fonctionnaient au bois. Ce changement est la cause de problèmes techniques pour la traversée du pont Victoria : la fumée de charbon endommage l'acier de la structure tubulaire et les voyageurs sont incommodés par la fumée. Temporairement, des ouvertures sont effectuées dans la structure pour permettre l’aération du pont.
Une solution permanente est proposée le 4 mai 1897, marquant le début de travaux majeurs sur le pont. Le tube fut déposé et remplacé par un tablier à poutres en treillis, créant ainsi le « Victoria Jubilee Bridge ». Les piliers furent très peu modifiés. Lors de ces travaux, les poutres furent construites autour du tube, puis on procéda à son démontage. Ainsi, la circulation des trains ne fut pas interrompue. Le remplacement du tube ne fut pas la seule modification du pont : les travaux permirent d’élargir le pont pour accueillir une deuxième voie de chemin de fer et une ligne de tramway. Celui-ci a existé jusqu’au 13 octobre 1956 ; il fut remplacé par une voie routière qui vint s’ajouter à celle qui avait été construite en 1927.
Le Pont Victoria reste en usage à ce jour, portant à la fois le trafic routier et ferroviaire, avec des rails dans le milieu et les routes (partie de la route 112) sur les deux côtés. Il est activement utilisé par le chemin de fer du Canadien National sur sa ligne principale allant de Halifax à Montréal. Il est un contributeur majeur au rôle de Montréal comme plaque tournante continentale dans le système ferroviaire nord-américain. Sa désignation pour le Chemin de fer Canadien National (CNR communément appelé CN) est Mile 71.40 Subdivision St-Hyacinthe.
Le pont est d'environ 3 km (1,9 mi) de long, et repose sur 24 piles de maçonnerie renforcée de vingt-quatre becs brise-glace en fer très massif.

Initially known as The Victoria Bridge, then as the Victoria Jubilee Bridge, and finally, since 1978, as Victoria Bridge again, it is a bridge over the St. Lawrence River between Montreal, and the City of Saint-Lambert on the South Shore.
Opened in 1859 as a railway bridge, originally as a tubular bridge designed by Robert Stephenson, the bridge was the first to span the St. Lawrence River, and as such is a bridge of great historic importance for the Canada.
During the 1870s the coal locomotives gradually replaced those used wood. This change caused a technical problems for crossing the Victoria Bridge: coal smoke damages the steel tubular structure and travelers are inconvenienced by the smoke. Temporarily, openings are made in the structure to allow ventilation of the bridge.
A permanent solution is proposed 4 May 1897, marking the start of major work on the bridge. The tube was removed and replaced by a lattice girder deck, creating the "Victoria Jubilee Bridge." The pillars were little changed. During this work, the beams were built around the tube, and then they proceeded to his removal. So, train traffic was not interrupted. The replacement of the tube was not the only change of the bridge allowed the work to widen the bridge to accommodate a second track railway and a tram line. It existed until 13 October 1956; he was replaced by a road which came in addition to that which had been built in 1927.
It remains in use to this day, carrying both road and rail traffic, with rails in the middle and roads (part of Route 112) on both sides. It is actively used by the railroad Canadian National on its main line from Halifax to Montreal. It is a major contributor to the role of Montreal as a continental hub in the North American rail system.
