Small, from red bricks built former Evangelic Church (Evangelický kostel) called also Red church (Cervený kostel), belongs among the most interesting buildings in town Hlucín. Rough (brick) fair-faced masonry construction is a specific feature of Silesian architecture; similar architectural works can be found in nearby towns like Opava, Ostrava but also in Wroclaw and Krakow (Poland).

The foundation stone of the former Evangelical churchin Hlucín was laid on June 3, 1862. The architectonically valuable Neo-Romanesque cruciform-shape sacral structure with central sanctus turret was originally part of the Hlucín Lutheran cemetery. The cemetery was abolished in 1965 and transformed into a park, and church was completely reconstructed in 1996. Nowadays is the Evangelical church administered by Hlucín Cultural Centre and is used for exhibitions, chamber concerts, and various social events (weddings etc.).
