The Port Control Centre controls the shipping at this port & all shipping movements through The Great Barrier Reef. The viewing area enables visitors to see all the operations of the port from receiving the coal from the trains, stacking & reclaiming, the jetties, the tug harbour, ships being loaded & waiting at sea.
The You Are Here Map outlines the process in six clear steps. The jetty on the left is Dalrymple Bay, the others Hay Point with the one painted blue currently under construction.
