Stamps Coffey gives us some biographical information. She was born on 21 November 1905 near the tiny town of Ridgley, the daughter of Girtha Higgs and Calvin Stamps. She married Tom Coffey in 1924. She was a long time member of the
Ridgley Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She died on 24 September 2006, just a couple of months short of 101 years old.
