Bellata is on the Newell Highway between Narrabri & Moree & was well known for its gem stones. Unfortunately the quarry where much of the precious stones could be found by the public has closed as it is no longer safe.
The LPO though is open & provides a limited service of banking, parcels & mail. It is open Monday to Friday only between 9 & 5 & is closed for lunch for an hour from 1pm.
