Located near the front entrance to Pacheco School Gymnasium is a dedication plaque which notes the construction date of 2008. Pacheco School is named in honor of General Romualdo Pacheco, the only Hispanic to serve as governor of California in 1875, when the first Pacheco school was newly-built.
