A simple classicistic building of yellow brick with concrete and painted metal trim. It is a 2 story structure that has had some alterations over the years. The doors have been replaced with more modern aluminum doors and the front used to sport a pair of Tuscan columns. It was designed by Hoppin, Field and Peirce and funds were donated by Henry Warner Budlong. The library is now part of a city wide supported library system.
