The marker is near the front of the Old Shiloh Cemetery, on CR 3202 near Madras, TX, and in the cemetery is the grave of Mary Bagby, the oldest known marked grave in the whole of Red River County, dating to 1836.

In this vicinity the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church was organized in June 1833 by Rev. Milton Estill Erected by the State of Texas 1936
