SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR
WORLD WAR.

Proper Description: "Standing figure of a World War I soldier. He stands at attention, with his rifle in his proper right hand." ~ Smithsonian American Art Museum

History: The cost was $600. Original plaque on base honored World War I veterans; it was replaced by a plaque honoring veterans of the Spanish American and Civil Wars as well.
