This disk (noted by an arrow pointing to FORBES and 'NO 1') is located inside the circular drive at the top of Mt Davis. It is south of the E-W path which bisects the circle & NE of the main station.

REFERENCE MARK 1 IS A STANDARD DISK, STAMPED---FORBES NO 1 1975---, CEMENTED IN A DRILL HOLE IN THE SOUTH EDGE OF A 6 BY 10 FOOT BOULDER, THAT PROJECTS 6 INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS 63.0 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER OF THE CIRCULAR DRIVE, 31.5 FEET EAST OF THE WELL PIPE, 22.0 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE FOUNDATION AND ABOUT 1 FOOT HIGHER THAN THE STATION.
