Thirteen people were buried in this isolated area between 1863 and 1901. They were family of the lighthouse keeper, as well as some local farmers and shipwreck victims.

One of the earlier tombstones is for Cornelius Evans, born on the 26th November 1865 at the Otways Lighthouse keeper's quarters and died just 3 months later on the 4th March 1867. He was the son of Catherine and William Evans. William was the assistant lighthouse keeper for 22 years.

There is no vehicle access or road to the abandoned cemetery - just a walking trail of about 1km from the lighthouse carpark.
Earliest Burial: 12/29/1863

Latest Burial: 01/03/1901
