The Mount Sicker radar site - call sign CXSI - covers a radius of 256 km, which includes approximately 2/3 of Vancouver Island and much of the Lower Mainland. This is one of the sites that was added to the Canadian weather radar network as part of the upgrade project approved in 1998. The Mount Sicker radar site was completed in July 2000.

The radar site is located at an elevation of approximately 725 metres, just a few metres below Mount Sicker's summit. Immediately adjacent to the radar tower is a communication tower used by a local amateur radio club, and a cell tower is approximately 60 metres away. Access to the site is via unpaved logging roads and a gated service road. The roads up to the gate are passable in most cars, and the remaining 900 metres to the site need to be covered on foot because the gate is almost always closed.
