When we visited Glenwood the library happened to be staging a book sale. It was being run in typical small town fashion, with no one around, putting everyone on the honor system. The sale signs read "Take what you want, Pay what you want". On the front of the building is a sign indicating that WiFi is available here.
Glenwood is a little village in southern Alberta surrounded by grain farms and a sprinkling of beef and dairy operations. The dairy farms, to some extent, supplied what is (or was) the town's largest employer, the one time cheese factory. The factory stopped making cheese several years ago and, until 2014, produced dried milk. When we visited in 2014 the plant was still in operation, but we have since learned that it has either closed or is about to close. This will have a large impact on a town of about 280, a great many of which were employed by the factory.
