Nova Scotia highway webcams are operated by the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR). Most are mounted on tall steel towers, most of which have weather sensors included on the tower. The sensors measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and wind direction and speed.
The webcam pic below is more or less real time and will update every 30 to 40 minutes, depending on conditions.
This highway webcam is on the south side of Highway 104, AKA the Trans Canada Highway, about 50 metres east of the Mt. William Road overpass, just outside the western edge of New Glasgow. It looks east down Highway 104, away from the overpass.
