Better known as Lightnin’ Hopkins. Texas Monthly magazine described him as the state’s best blues singer of the last century. Hopkins played at Carnegie Hall and opened for both the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. He also played a command performance before Queen Elizabeth.
