Nova Scotia highway webcams are operated by the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (TIR). Most are mounted on tall steel towers, most of which have weather sensors included on the tower. The sensors measure temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and wind direction and speed.
The webcam pic below is more or less real time and will update every 30 to 40 minutes, depending on conditions.
This highway webcam is on the north side of Hwy 101 about 200 metres west of the overpass for Mary Jane Riley Road, which leads generally north to Cornwallis on the Bay of Fundy. It looks west down Highway 101, away from the overpass.
