The 2000 gallon steam jacket copper pot still was imported from Scotland in 1928 by the Distillers Company of Edinburgh.
The company, then renamed the Distillers Corporation, was known for its famous (or infamous) "Corio Whisky". The distillery produced whiskey nearby for over 50 years, and finally closed in 1980.
