EN: The fountain on the Stüssihofstatt in the historic center of Zürich was probably built around 1575. It is the only multi-colored painted historic fountain that still exists in Zürich. The cloverleaf-shaped four-part water trough has a painted pillar in the center, with a statue of a knight in armor atop. It is said to depict Mayor Rudolf Stüssi, who lived here and died in 1443 in the Old Zurich War. This assignment is possible, but only documented for the recent past.

DE: Der Brunnen auf der Stüssihofstatt im historischen Zentrum von Zürich wurde vermutlich um das Jahr 1575 errichtet. Er ist der einzige mehrfarbig bemalte historische Brunnen, der in Zürich noch existiert. Der kleeblatt-förmige vierteilige Brunnentrog hat eine bemalte Säule im Zentrum, auf der die Statue eines bewaffneten und geharnischten Ritters steht. Es soll sich dabei um Bürgermeister Rudolf Stüssi handeln, der hier gewohnt hat und 1443 im Alten Zürichkrieg gefallen ist. Diese Zuordnung ist möglich, allerdings erst für die jüngere Vergangenheit dokumentiert.
