According to her biography on FindAGrave, she was educated at Washburn Prairie School (now long gone, but topographic maps show it next to the Washburn Prairie Cemetery), and that she was a member of nearby Corinth Baptist Church from the 1940s. She was born in Barry County and lived her entire life there, farming with her husband.

She was born on 22 July 1911. Her favorite pasttimes were cooking and gardening. She died on 29 September 1911, when she was just a couple months older than 100 years.
