In Boston's downtown district, along Winter Street, is this building at 40 Winter Street that has a date over the entrance that represents 1866.
The building is located on the southwest side of Winter Street, less than a block from Boston Common.
The building is a grey stone faced structure four stories tall. On the first floor is a Game Stop store. Windows are visible in the other stories. Between the third and fourth floors is a stone feature with a 'B' on it, the below that, engraved in stone, is the following year, in Roman numerals: "A.D. MDCCCLXVI" [1866].
I couldn't find anything more about the building itself.
