The Draper's hired a local architect from Milford, MA , Robert Allen Cooke to design the new offices. In 1880 the office had a staff of 6 men. The new offices would accomodate a staff of 90. The building would hold the company typist, order department, shipping, purchasing, switch board, administrative and financial functions.
