Evangelist Lester L. Roloff
(1914-1982)

Youngest Son of Harry A. and Sadie Roloff

Born at Dawson, Texas on the old Blackland Farm where he spent his boyhood days, he learned the discipline of hard work and of frugal endeavor. Equipped with the Word of God, the courage of the American frontier and the homespun philosophy of the common people, Brother Roloff embarked on the road of faith that has touched thousands of lives for God.

As pastor, tent evangelist and radio preacher, God used and multiplied the talents of this willing servant. On Jun 8, 1951, the Roloff Evangelistic Enterprises was organized and gave birth to a great ministry for people in trouble. Countless thousands have been touched and blessed by this man of God.

He was the preacher's friend, the church's standard bearer, the common man's leader and the hope of the destitute. His "sons" in the ministry are all over America and the converts are all over the world.

Brother Roloff, as he was affectionately known, was like Lincoln who wore the signs and savor of the soil. He took his milk cow off to Baylor University in 1933, and it was there in the early morning in the cow shed that the disciplines of prayer, patience and humility had their desired effect.

Like Paul of old, he preached the Word of God faithfully for over fifty years to both the great and the small. What a godsend Brother Roloff has been to us all - the voice of one of the truly great preachers of all time.

Brother Roloff's love for people drove him night and day. His burden was to help anyone in need, regardless of the personal cost of time involved.
