The Methodist church is at 1437 S 45th St, and the old school grounds are located about eight tenths of a mile south of TX 31, on the east side of FM 2555 ("a dirt road" no more). There is a Texas Historical Marker for the Oak Valley School, just feet from the old well.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1947 3.0 MI SW FROM CORSICANA. 3.0 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG THE ST. LOUIS SOUTHWESTERN RAILWAY TRACK FROM THE UNION STATION AT CORSICANA, AT THE OLD OAK VALLEY SCHOOL WHICH IS 1.4 MILES SOUTH ALONG A DIRT ROAD FROM THE STATE ORPHANS HOME, 0.15 MILE SOUTH OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE CORSICANA COMMERCIAL AIRPORT, ABOUT 200 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE RAILROAD TRACK, 105.0 FEET EAST OF THE EAST EDGE OF A ONE LANE CONCRETE ROAD, 15.3 FEET EAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE OLD SCHOOL BUILDING, SET IN THE TOP OF THE EAST SIDE OF CIRCULAR CONCRETE CURB AROUND A WELL, 2.3 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND.
