While visiting the Seattle Art Museum I was intrigued by this "Green Man" sculpture made of recycled green glass bottles. He stands about 10 feet and is on permanent display for all visitors to enjoy.

Created by talented artist, Jerry Pethick, he was well known for his bold sculptures and was a proponent of ecological issues.

Le Semeur (The Sower) by Jean-Francois Miller was the inspiration for the pose of the "Green Man".

Sadly, Jerry Pethick passed away in 2003.
