A blue plaque at Swanage railway station by the Swanage Grammar School Association, 2009.
The plaque reads:
"SWANAGE GRAMMAR SCHOOL PUPILS
WERE BROUGHT
FROM PURBECK
AND BEYOND BY THIS
RAILWAY
1929 - 1971"
The railway service ended with the closure ot the station in 1972, and the school closed in 1974.
