The building was originally built in Federation Queen Anne Style for the Cottesloe branch of the Ministering Children's League founded in England by the Countess of Meath . During WW2 it was used by the military as a convalescent hospital and finally in 1984 the building changed once again to become the Wearne Aged Care Hostel
