Wilsum is een plaats aan de IJssel in de gemeente Kampen in de provincie Overijssel. Wilsum heeft 827 inwoners. Wilsum is gebouwd op een rivierduin. De plaats wordt voor het eerst vermeld in 1213. Al vóór 1321 kreeg Wilsum van de bisschop van Utrecht stadsrechten. In karakter is Wilsum altijd een dorp gebleven. Tot 1937 was Wilsum een zelfstandige gemeente. De hervormde Sint-Lambertuskerk, die van rond 1050 stamt, is een van de oudste kerken van Overijssel.
Bij Wilsum staan een aantal nestpalen die veel ooievaars aantrekken. Het uiterwaardengebied net buiten het dorp is natuurgebied en je vind hier bedreigde vogelsoorten als de zwarte stern en de kwartelkoning. Er komen zeldzame en beschermde planten voor zoals de kievitsbloem. Het gebied is onderdeel van het Nationaal Landschap IJsseldelta.

Even before 1321 Wilsum was granted city rights by the bishop of Utrecht. In character Wilsum has remained a village. Wilsum was until 1937 an independent municipality. The reformed Saint Lambertchurch, which dates from around 1050, is one of the oldest churches in Overijssel.
In Wilsum are some nestingpoles that attract many storks. The floodplain area just outside the village is natural reservate and endangered species such as the black tern and corncrake can be found here. Also some rare and protected plants such as the fritillary can be found. The area is part of the National Landscape IJsseldelta.
