The school is the old rural Cedar Creek School which was built before 1896. It was moved to its present location on Oct 16, 1990. It was originally a two-story building constructed by the Anti-Horse Thief Association. The organization how their meetings on the second floor gave the first floor to the community uses a school.
The building has been furnished with desks, maps and other school items from Newton County rural schools. It is now a museum display.
