The West and East Blocks

The Library


The coordinates are for the plaque which as at the front of the grounds on Wellington St. These are not the original Parliament Buildings which burned down in Feb. 1916. The only original portion is the Pariliamentary Library at the rear of the building. Also at the rear is the bell that was tolling the hour as the building burned to the ground.



The Parliament Buildings consist of the Centre Block containing the House of Commons on the west side and the Senate Chambre in the east side. The Centre Block is flanked by the East and West Blocks.
