Het 'Oorlogsmonument Kamperzeedijk' is een gedenksteen, vervaardigd uit wit marmer en zwarte en grijze natuursteen. Het monument is een verwijzing naar de melkstaking van 1943. Het middelste deel verbeeldt een melkbus waar melk uit stroomt (een ring, waaruit een strook wit marmer loopt). Het centrum wordt geflankeerd door twee zuilen met tekst.
Op het monument staan de namen van de slachtoffers die tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog in deze omgeving zijn gevallen. Voor de bewoners van dit gebied spitsten de gebeurtenissen zich eigenlijk toe op een drietal historische perioden, zoals de slag in de Javazee in 1942, de zogenaamde melkstaking van mei 1943 en de inundatie van de Polder Mastenbroek in de herfst van 1944. Ook worden twee vliegeniers uit het gemenebest herdacht.

The "War Memorial Kamperzeedijk" is a memorial stone, made of white marble and black and gray stone. The monument is a reference to the milk strike of 1943. The middle section represents a milkcannister where milk flows from (a ring from which a strip of white marble runs). The center is flanked by two columns of text.
On the monument are the names of the victims who have fallen during the Second World War in this area. For the residents of this area the events took place in three historical periods, such as the Battle of the Java Sea in 1942, the milk strike in May 1943 and the inundation of the Mastenbroek polder in the fall of 1944. Also two airmen of the commonwealth are commemorated.
