This single room church was organized and erected by early settlers as 1st M.E. church before 1825. It's first minister was Rev. Samuel Bibbins of Weedsport. M. E. Society meetings were held in the barn of John Gilmore until construction of the church was completed.

The gable-roofed building is still in use on Sundays from May to October for weddings and events.
