Hen-Peck Mill-2E23-Woodbury - Tennessee Historical Markers on Waymarking.com

4 1/2 miles N.E., in 1834, William Neely built this overshot mill, still in operation. Its nickname came from a statement by local wiseacres, that the mill ground so slowly that a dozen hens could eat the grist faster than the stones could grind it.
