Memorial honoring the founders of the church who came from the Alps in northern Italy via Uruguay to settle in the area. Memorial is located at the site of the original church which is adjacent to the current church.

Text of Memorial:

In Memory of the founders of the Waldensian Church and all who came later helped establishing the colony. The first families came in July 1875 from Uruguay, South America with their pastor, Rev. J. P. M. Solomon. Forty acres of land was donated by the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway company, "to be forever used for the benefit of said church."
